If you can't sneeze, jump on a trampoline or go for a run without squeezing like your life depends on it, then incontinence is a very 'real' problem.

Many women tell themselves that it is normal to leak a bit after having a baby or if they are post menopausal.  They learn to accept a bit of urine leakage without questioning it as they expect things to change and worsen as they get older.

The Pelvic Floor is a group of muscles like any other and thus it can and should be exercised so that it is strengthened to function effectively.

It is important to note that a healthy pelvic floor is not just important for urinary control, but for normal sexual intercourse and is in addition a strong support for your organs from below, preventing organ prolapse.

The good news is that barring a severe dysfunction of the urinary system or the neurological system, you can improve your Pelvic Floor muscle strength and function with a series of targeted exercises.

Bladder Pain Syndrome

Many women do not seek treatment for incontinence until it has already become a serious issue. The negative effects of urinary incontinence are often overlooked, but the condition can have detrimental impacts on the individual's ability to lead an active life and enjoy daily activities including exercise, sex, work or socializing with friends and family.

Early diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence is key to regaining control of your bladder and your life!
